Learn how to use TileCalcPro calculators to get accurate estimates for your tiling and granite projects.

Getting Started

Measuring and entering details correctly is the key to accurate estimates. Follow this step-by-step guide to use each calculator on our site.

Measure the length and width of the room floor. You can use Feet, Inches, Meters, or MM.
Enter the tile dimensions. Select whether you know the size in Inches (e.g. 12x12) or MM (e.g. 600x600).
Specify the Wastage Percentage. We recommend adding 5% to 10% to cover cuts, corner fittings, and shipping breakages.
Input the number of tiles included in one box (default is 2). This helps calculate the exact number of boxes you need to order.
Enter the Price per Box or per Sq.Ft to get an estimated project cost (optional).

The Bathroom Calculator calculates Wall Tiles and Floor Tiles separately at the same time.
For Walls: Enter the combined length of all walls (perimeter), wall height, and details of the wall tiles.
For Floor: Enter the floor length and width, along with floor tile sizes.
Deductions: Subtract the area of doors or windows (if any) to avoid buying extra tiles.
Click Calculate to view separate boxes/tiles counts and cost estimates for both walls and floors.

You can calculate multiple cut pieces of granite (e.g. kitchen platform, windows, doors, stairs) together.
Click '+ Add Slab / Row' to add as many granite pieces as you need.
For each piece, enter a Label (e.g., 'Kitchen' or 'Window Sill') to easily identify it in the results.
If you have multiple identical pieces (like 15 stair steps of the same size), enter '15' in the Quantity (Qty) field.
Enter the length and width (feet and inches), then click Calculate to see the area breakdown for each item and the total combined area.

Designer Mode is used when you are mixing different patterns of tiles (Light, Dark, and Highlighter) in a design.
First, enter the Total Boxes required for the room (calculated using the Floor Calculator).
Set the percentages for Light tiles, Dark tiles, and Highlighter tiles based on your layout design.
Ensure the sum of all three percentages is exactly 100%.
Click split to get the exact number of boxes to purchase for each style.

After calculating tiles or boxes for any room, look for the 'Add to Estimate List' button.
Enter a label for the room (e.g. 'Master Bedroom' or 'Kitchen Floor') and click the add button.
Your item will be saved to a compiled project list at the bottom of the page.
You can add multiple rooms across both the Floor and Bathroom calculators to build a full house estimate.
Click the 'Print / Save PDF' button to generate a clean, professional estimate sheet to share with clients or contractors.
